Saying OK is giving "Your Word"

Hi. This is LoLyn live. So far I've just been transferring from my hard drive, except the two gardening stories.

So many people say, "I give you my word." and you wonder what they are giving you the rest of the time.

Many say, "can I be honest? or Can I be candid" leaving you to wonder what it is they are being the rest of the time.

I have family members, (remember I have 7 children, 3 ex husbands, and 12 grandchidldren, as well as a parade of foster children,) and acquaintances who, when asked if they will do something will automatically say, "OK," and go on about their day, totally forgetting that they just gave me their word to do something. It doesn't get done, so either I have to NAG (the real N word) or do it myself.

Think about it, when you say, "OK" that is your word. When you "give your word," you shouldn't have to be asked twice.
